Our Leadership & Volunteers The Scunthorpe and Grimsby Advanced Motorists is run by local volunteers, all passionate about promoting advanced driving and making life on the road safer and more enjoyable. Our dedicated team generously gives their time to support drivers in improving their skills through IAM RoadSmart training.

Each year, our group members elect a committee of volunteers to manage and guide our activities. This leadership team ensures the smooth running of the group, coordinates training, and upholds our commitment to road safety. Our National Observers, who have successfully completed the advanced driving test, then undertaken further training followed by the IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) National Observers test, play a vital role in mentoring and advising new members to help them achieve certification.

This collective effort—from leadership to observers—is what makes our group a strong and valuable resource for Drivers across North and North East Lincolnshire.
